How To Install Shiplap
Set your table saw to the desired width and don't forget your safety glasses.
Large sheets of plywood are dangerous to cut by yourself on a table saw;
get a friend to help hold the plywood as you move it
Preparation:
-
Prepare the Wall: Remove old trim and electrical outlet/switch covers.
-
Turn Off Power: Turn off the power to the room at the breaker before handling electrical boxes.
-
Locate Studs: Use a stud finder to locate and mark the wall studs for accurate nailing.
Installation:
-
Start at the Bottom: Begin installation from the bottom of the wall, as this uses gravity to your advantage.
-
Level the First Board: Place your first board along the floor and ensure it is level.
-
Use Spacers: Place a nickel or another spacer between each shiplap board to create a consistent, visible gap between the rows.
-
Nail into Studs: Secure the board to the wall by nailing through the drywall into the studs.
-
Stagger Cuts: Place each subsequent board so the cut ends are staggered from the previous row.
-
Use a Finish Nailer: A finish nailer is ideal for attaching the boards to hold them while the adhesive dries, if used.
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl with a wooden spoon mix together almond butter, brown/coconut sugar, pumpkin puree, vanilla and egg until well combined. In a separate bowl whisk together almond flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda and salt.
-
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir together until all mixed together. Fold in the chocolate chips
-
Place 2-3 marshmallows into your cookie scoop and then scoop up the cookie batter. You want them to be on the top of the batter but still mixed in with the cookie dough. Portion out onto the baking sheet.
-
Sprinkle extra chocolate chips or chunks on each cookie if desired.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool and enjoy!
